Moriya Gion supports the preservation and continuation of Kyoto’s Gozan Okuribi, one of Kyoto’s most cherished traditional summer events.

Gozan Okuribi is one of Kyoto’s most iconic traditional events and has been carefully preserved and passed down through generations by members of the local community.

As a restaurant located in Gion, Kyoto, Moriya Gion supports efforts to preserve Kyoto’s history, culture, and local traditions for future generations. We are proud to support Gozan Okuribi in 2026.
